It is no secret that I love flowers and these Flower still lifes grabbed me ! These works trigger me in a way .....they all have that freedom in it which is something I want to achieve. Freedom in his use of material and painting. The opposite of my neat work but I'm changing :-)
Niels Brozat's Flower paintings are based on 17th century flower still lifes from the Netherlands. He positions his flower paintings from the seventeenth-century taste and modern translation into kitsch. Subtle surprises hiding in which he builds his compositions, in the refined way he connects fragments and in the interweaving of foreground and background.
This is the last gallery exhibition of Niels Broszat where his flower paintings are displayed!! You can still visit this exhibition till the 7th of July at Galerie Metis in Amsterdam, Lijnbaansgracht 316, The Netherlands.
