It was fun working on this trees and I made them in several colors. From plastics and dry rice, I found the materials while I was cleaning the house from my (deceased) parents. I had to do something with it and I remembered that someone said to me on my tripp to China "don't waist your rice because the people in Asia have to work hard to pick the rice! "
So I painted it ( did that before when I made an installation with rice for an exhibition in Brussels)
And I'm glad ..they look very nice hanging at the wall and when the sun is shining on them real
" EYE-SNACKS" !!
(if you want you can order them at my
little shop I made them with love and care )
I like the story behind these! And it will help you remember your parents every time you look at them.
